Sweet Summertime - What's inside the July Favorite Things Box!
Yay…sweet summertime is here and in full force! Sweet summertime brings a feeling of happy carefree summer days with the sun shining, a light breeze blowing, sipping on ice cold strawberry lemonade. I am excited to share with you what’s inside July’s Favorite Things Box! The theme of this month's box highlights items that bring me back to my FAVORITE summertime memories or activities around STRAWBERRIES!
Each month I’ll be curating a box of my favorite things themed seasonally with trending items that I love. Each month’s box is a surprise {because who doesn’t love a surprise?!?!} and something that I would be super excited to get in the mail each month…so I know you will be excited too! One of my missions since I launched This New Old House has been supporting other small woman owned business owners along the way, so I am so excited to include at least one item in each box from a locally owned woman business or maker. By supporting and sharing in my box…you are not only supporting me but the dreams of other small businesses and that just makes my heart happy!!!

Strawberry picking is one of my favorite childhood summer memories. We went with my Grandma Millie and picked boxes and boxes of those fresh sweet berries with sampling along the way in the rows. There is nothing better than a big juicy strawberry off the vine! In this month’s box, I wanted you to soak in all the summer feels of being in the strawberry patch!!!
Here’s what’s inside:
#1 – In the spirit of strawberry picking, a ceramic berry basket for your HOME. Use this for fresh strawberries or any garden produce. These are such little cutie containers and I am so excited to style it in my kitchen!
#2 - For the HOME, a strawberry tea towel from local artisan Doe a Deer located in small town Stuart, Iowa. Regan hand draws all of the designs for the items she features in her store!
There are so many fun items in the Doe a Deer store…I want it all in my kitchen! And, you know that I love a small town Iowa adventure!
#3 - A DIY, to share some summer fun and love. Send these cute strawberry note cards old-fashioned snail mail to spread some happiness this summer to your favorite people!
#4 - To PAMPER you this month and make sure your skin is summer smooth and glowing with yummy smelling strawberry peach sugar scrub from a local goat farm Bramble Wood Acres in small town Indianola, Iowa!
Bramble Wood Acres shop is located in the rolling Iowa countryside outside of Indianola. Their farm has goats and they use their own goat milk in many of their products. When I visited the farm to pick up your sugar scrub they had baby goats. Aren’t they the CUSTEST?!?! Because I could not put a baby goat in your box, the pictures will have to do…LOL!
#5 – Gather friends or relax on the front porch at sunset to sip in summer with this refreshing strawberry lemonade drink recipe! Sweet summer time cheers, friends!
